dbGaP Data Browser Code of Conduct

Approved Users agree:
  1. Not to save, copy, or record data displayed in the browser, except for the minimum information needed to document a finding of interest and satisfy current publication practices.
  2. Not to use any information obtained from the dbGaP Data Browser, either alone or in concert with any other information, to identify or contact individual participants from whom data and/or samples were collected.
  3. Not to share personal dbGaP passwords or dbGaP Data Browser sessions with any other individuals.
  4. To notify the NIH Central Data Access Committee of any unauthorized data sharing (e.g. sharing of personal account login and password information), breaches of data security, or inadvertent data releases that may compromise data confidentiality, within 24 hours of when the incident is identified.
